Outside

Yesterday sucked. I started the day fine, and then “people happened”!… It totally ruined my day, and I was mad for letting it get to me. In the evening, I went for a walk, had a little cry, and reconnected with Gaia. I looked at plants real close, enjoyed the tiny ripples on the pond, talked to a cute little bird on the roof, and soaked up the last few rays of sunshine. I took my shoes off, and focused on feeling the ground under each step… And then I told myself that people will keep disappointing me, but nature doesn’t, and nature is always here…
Next time life rubs you the wrong way, go outside. Sit under a tree, look at the leaves blowing in the breeze. Your coworker’s driving you crazy? Go to your car and listen to ambient music while looking at the clouds… During your lunch break, go outside -even for 5 mns!-, turn your face towards the sun, close your eyes and focus on the warmth on your skin. Listen to the noises around you, whether it’s birds or the hustle and bustle of the city… Spring is coming!…

You are HERE. This is NOW. Breathe!…
